Robert Zeidenberg - Owner & Team lead

Meet rob, the visionary who isn’t afraid to get his hands on the tools/dirty.

Rob is a people person, he thrives on connecting and growing relationships within his team, as well as with his clients. Rob puts people first. Robs desire to craft and create was born at a young age, in his grandfathers garage. 

By the age of 10 he had observed and crafted dozens of woodworking projects, learning the value of quality and integrity.

He started Straight Up Fence Co in the spring of 2017, combining his love for the outdoors with his passion for carpentry. Utilizing and hiring a network of skilled tradespeople, Rob soon began expanding the business. 

“I realized how the companies strength was in its team, you couldn’t dream up a more dedicated and talented group of carpenters. Each of us with a unique background in the trade.”

Under Robs leadership, the team learned and grew together. Eventually, Straight Up Fences became Straight up Homes and Straight Up Furniture, offering a dynamic line of premium services at competitive rates.

When Robs work boots come off, he enjoys the companionship of his family, friends, and majestic cat Ned. 

Shane Waller- Carpenter, Home Renovation Expert

Meet Shane, he’ll tackle any project with enthusiasm and grit. Shane is known on the work site for his precision and his glowing musical presence. Shane is often praised for solving problems, while singing a song about solving problems.

Before joining the straight up team, Shane spent years as an independent General Contractor specializing in home renovations. With ten years experience, Shane brings a lot to the table.

When his work boots come off, Shane enjoys playing soccer and relaxing with his guitar. 

Dom Engel- Project Coordinator

Meet the go-to guy. Whatever task or challenge, Dom is equipped and ready. His ability to dissect complex situations until they are routinely approachable, has lead to countless innovative techniques used by Straight Up today. 

As an avid outdoorsman, Dom enjoys and thrives working outside. With countless backyard builds under his belt, he is an asset to every project.

Dom is most famous for his ability level long lengths by eye. When his work boots come off, he can be found enjoying the woods at his Huntsville cottage with his trusted dog Sancho.
